Our Story

It was the day of Basant Panchami, an Indian festival marking the onset of spring. I was on a hiking trip in the beautiful state of Uttarakhand, known for its pristine beauty and abundant natural resources. As I trekked through the Himalayan ranges, I came across several bee colonies buzzing with activity. Being a foodie and health enthusiast, I was intrigued by the honey collected by these bees and decided to learn more about it.

As I researched the different honey varieties found in the region, I discovered that each honey had its own unique flavor profile, depending on the flowers from which the bees had collected nectar. For instance, the Wildflower Honey had a mild, floral taste, while the Lavender Honey had a sweet, fragrant flavor.

While I savored the delicious honey, I couldn’t help but wonder about the plight of the local beekeepers who were struggling to make a decent living. I learned that many beekeepers were forced to sell their honey at low prices to middlemen, who would then sell it at exorbitant rates in the cities.

That’s when I had an idea – what if we could create a company that would source honey directly from the beekeepers, paying them fair prices, and then market the honey to a wider audience? The company would not only provide employment opportunities to the local beekeepers but also promote the goodness of Himalayan honey to the world.

Thus, the idea for our company – Orbee Products PrivateLimited- was born. We set out to collect honey from different regions of Uttarakhand, each with its own distinct flora and fauna. We collected Wildflower Honey, Forest Honey, Lavender Honey, and Rhododendron Honey, each with its unique flavor and health benefits.

We partnered with local beekeepers and paid them fair prices for their honey. We also ensured that our collection methods were sustainable and did not harm the bees or the environment.

As our company grows, we intend to build a reputation for providing high-quality honey that is not only delicious but also has several health benefits. Our Wildflower Honey is rich in antioxidants, while our Forest Honey has anti-inflammatory properties. Our Lavender Honey is known for its calming effect, and our Rhododendron Honey has antibacterial properties.

Through our company, we are not only promoting the goodness of Himalayan honey but also empowering the local beekeeping communities. We are proud to be a part of this mission and continue to work towards our vision of creating a sustainable honey industry in Uttarakhand.
